Great windsurf board
I bought the 10’7” windsurf board and a 4.5m2 ride rig at the end of last year. I had had a small number of lessons on a hard windsurf board on a lake and hired the same kit a couple of times from the same place before buying. I wanted to buy a board to progress on and have some fun cruising around in light winds but also use as a paddleboard when it was calm. I had tried a windsurf board from a different company with a central fin rather than a dagger board but just kept on drifting downwind so I decided to buy a board with a dagger board that was large and went through the board. I did not get the opportunity to try out the Red windsurf board or even see it in action before buying so it was a bit of a risk. I have used it several times as a paddle board on lake and river and really like it, it’s very stable and easy to paddle. Some water comes through the dagger board housing but I don’t find that a problem. I want to try surfing with it in the sea but have not yet had the opportunity. I have used the kit twice windsurfing on a lake in light winds 5 to 10pm. It is amazing! I have had so much fun. It goes upwind easily and indeed seems to control just as well as the hard boards I had used but is actually easier to windsurf as it’s easy to get on, nice and grippy on the feet and overall very user friendly. In terms of performance, so far I cannot fault it.
