Replacement valve for Titan 2 pump
I have had 2 red paddle boards and pumps for a couple of years. Whenever my wife and I use our boards we share the same pump so one of the pumps had never been used until a month ago. When I went to use it, the handle would push up hard after each pump. I figured a valve had gone bad from sitting around without use. I ordered 2 valves just so I’d have an extra. Taking apart the pump was pretty straightforward, but I found that both valves at the bottom of the pump were coated with a hard adhesive (I assume from the manufacturing process) and would have never worked. Luckily I’d ordered two. I am amazed this pump passed even the most cursory quality control inspection. My other critique is that the screws on the pump are so soft that I really doubt they would stand up to being removed and reinserted more than two or three times without getting completely stripped. Other than that I love these boards and they’re clearly superior to other ISUP’s I’ve seen around l.
