Technical skills demand specialist equipment, and few water sports are as technical as white water paddle boarding. This is why we are proud to introduce the new Red white water paddle board - an advanced SUP that is guaranteed to meet the demands of new and experienced white water riders.
Available in two sizes - 9’6” and 11’0” - the new Wild MSL inflatable paddle board is the ultimate companion for the ultra adventurous. In fact, every aspect of this SUP has been designed to make white water paddle boarding as enjoyable and exhilarating as it should be. Let’s take a closer look at the features of this resilient and reinforced bit of kit:
There’s no doubt about it, the white water paddling experience is significantly different to your standard leisurely paddleboard excursion. Rivers and rapids bring technical conditions and a number of subsequent challenges, including drops, twists and turns. To successfully navigate these, you’ll need a board that can keep you steady. Fortunately, the new Red white water paddle board does exactly that. High sides and a pronounced rocker ensure that the board stays balanced on fast-flowing water and can handle sudden drops with ease.
Understandably, the rigours of the white water environment can mean that your paddleboard experiences greater wear and tear than it might in calmer waters like a lake. With this in mind, we wanted to create a board that was one of our most durable yet. Not only do the new Red white water paddle boards come with a 5-year warranty for peace of mind, but they are also constructed using our ultra-durable MSL technology. This unique drop-stitch material offers rock-solid stiffness to keep your board looking fresher for longer and also give you total confidence as you take your adventures to a new level.
When it comes to building white water confidence, you’ll also want to be sure that you can stay on your feet. Good core strength is vital in achieving this but your board also goes a long way towards helping you remain in a stable and suitable stance. The super-grippy, Red embossed and deep-cut diamond EVA deck pad does exactly that, guaranteeing high traction that is further enhanced by the raised centre and rail risers added to the board. The result is a sure-footed white water ride that allows you to enjoy the experience rather than get caught up thinking too much about technique.
High manoeuvrability is essential when navigating fast and often changing waters. There are a number of clever components of the new white water paddle board that work together to guarantee this and make it incredibly easy to control, including the high traction of the deckpad. Robust 4.6” twin US box river fins also add to the flexibility of the board, offering the perfect balance between the length needed to enhance tracking and drive but are short enough to prevent hang-ups.
And when you’re done in the water, you need not worry. Our Wild range is available as part of a complete package of white water paddling essentials, including everything you need to actually use and transport the board including our All-Terrain Backpack and innovative Titan II pump. You can also choose between our hybrid tough paddle or prime paddle to complete the package. Both are suitable for white water use, with the former offering a durable nylon blade with a lightweight shaft and the latter providing a high-performance and super-responsive ride.
