Why Our 2025 SUPs Are The Best Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Boards

We’ve been making paddle boards for a little over 17 years now and have always set out to deliver something that we can be proud of. So if you asked us back in 2008, when the first Red Paddle Co SUPs were launched, whether they were the best inflatable stand up paddle boards, we’d have obviously said yes. If you ask us now, however, we’d say those original boards of ours were a great start.  

Since then, we’ve spent almost 2 decades building on our initial designs, developing new materials and technologies, and working out how we could adapt our SUPs for purposes we hadn’t previously considered. As a matter of fact, our range of Speciality Paddle Boards was born out of our constant need to improve and innovate, as we strived to create a Paddle Board for every possible preference and application. 

24 paddle boards were introduced in our 2022 Collection, each one designed to be the best inflatable SUP for a particular type of user and use. It was at that point that we asked ourselves whether we could take all the different things we had learned and developed while creating this expanded range of SUPs and use them to create a streamlined collection that would be superior to everything that came before it.    

After several years in development, the Red Paddle Co Future Series was launched at the start of 2025 and we can confidently say that our 2025 SUPs are the best inflatable stand up paddle boards. Or at least they will be until we start to get the itch again (we can already feel it…).

The Future Is Now

We set out to redefine what riders should expect from paddle boards with the Future Series, and have achieved just that. The nine inflatable SUPs that make up the range are lighter, stiffer, thinner, and more durable than all similar boards that have come before, thanks in no small part to their MSL®800 double-drop-stitch construction. Developed over the course of 5 years, our MSL®800 technology made its debut in 2024 where it could be found on our Elite and Sport+ boards. It took us a little bit longer to roll it out across all Red Paddle Co boards, but anyone who has experienced the difference it makes agrees the wait was worth it. 

This ground-breaking material isn’t the only thing that makes our 2025 paddle board range stand out. Thanks to the technical superiority with which they’ve been made, all Future Series Boards under 14’ offer better stability than our previous boards of the same size (don’t worry, our 14’ SUPs have always delivered enviable stability due to their length). We’ve also been able to apply 17 years of manufacturing experience toward minimising material waste, making our Future Series SUPs the most eco-conscious paddle boards we’ve ever made.

Our Specialist SUPs have benefited from dedicated designs and precision-engineering,  making them the best inflatable stand up paddle boards when it comes to what they do. All Future Series SUPs come as packages, which means they come with a SUP leash, Titan 2 Pump, board straps, fins, removable fin box, RSS battens, and a SUP carry bag. In short, everything you need to get on the water right away. We also provide a SUP repair kit that you will hopefully never have to use but is definitely handy to have should the need arise. You also have your pick of SUP paddles, or you can opt for no paddle at all if you already have one.
