Generally good product with some flaws
Been testing this product in some very adverse conditions ( 4 storms in 13 days!) and it has generally performed well but has some flaws. Bad news first:
1) Pockets aren't heavily lined enough to keep your hand warms in wind. Bit basic, wanting to put your hands away to keep them warm but the lining is too thin and they rapidly become cold. They also don't have any...
2) Chest pockets - Missing and since the lower ones aren't lined properly, nowhere for your hands to go :(
3) Not enough poppers on the front outer seam so wind catches it and penetrates the zip
4) No ability (popper/velcro/zip) to further secure the bottom of the coat - this matters when it's really windy/rainy and especially when it's both
5) Side pockets have no fastening - a simple popper or zip would suffice but they are open to the elements/theft/dropping things
Good points:
1) Quality materials - thicker/better/more robust than DryRobe in my opinion
2) Spacious- Plenty of space to change inside the robe and of sufficient length
3) Stylish - much more stylish than DryRobe in my opinion
4) Well finished - stitching/fastening/hems etc seem well finished
5) Warm - nice and warm in very inclement conditions, bar the thin pockets
6) Weather resistant - Water and wind resistance is good, even in extreme conditions (bit of wind leakage but not too bad) and hood narrows down well to protect your face
7) Light - for what it is, (see materials above) surprisingly light
Summary:
Some flaws but still a good coat and…
